Instructions
- backup your data
- downlaod itunes 8.2 from www.apple.com
- install itunes 8.2
- put the phone into recovery mode
- get itunes to update the software to version 3.0
- this will take around 5-10 mins and will finish with the iphone 3.0 NOT jailbroken ( keep the phone in this state if u do not want to to be jailbroken)
- For most of us who want it jailbroken, then download the files from the links above
- open up red snow
- select the firmware
- connect the iphone/itouch to the computer whilst being SWITCHED OFF
- follow the instructions on screen.
- red snow will keep working for about 2-4 mins and will then have the button at the botom say finish. DO NOT CLICK FINISH UNTILL THE IPHONE HAS FULLY COMPLETED THE JAILBREAK AND IS READY TO USE.
- when the iphone is ready to use. hit finish and your done!
- JailBroken 3.0
Important:
If you are using Yellowsn0w with your iphone 3G do not jailbreak because Ultrasnow has not been released just yet as soon as its out go for it.
