Tetricity (1.0) is a game about intelligence, nerve control, reflexes and planning.
Tetricity is the 3D version of the classical tetris game in which you have to fill layers instead of lines. You are looking into the grid from the top and the pieces are falling towards the ground of the grid. The speed of pieces falling down increases with increasing level.
Tetricity is a puzzle game combined with action. It is one of the best ideas in games we have experienced so far where your visual capabilities are of utmost importance. You can choose to play with flat pieces (2D) or 3D Pieces. You can choose the dimensions of the grid from a number of different options, for example 5x5x10, 6x6x17, etc. Also, you can choose to start from any level of speed. One of five different background musics is selected and played randomly. So each time you play the game, you get a new feeling.
During the paused state, the grid is shown from a far location vertically from where you can see where you have left spaces (which you cannot see from the top). You can choose to turn on the shadow mode where you will see the shadow of the falling piece on the pieces in the grid. On completion of a layer, the circuits inside the blocks connect and the layer goes into a chain nuclear reaction emitting a special kind of energy called tetrical energy also known as Tetricity. The emission is a nice little effect. For more fun, pause the game right when tetricity is being emitted to see the grid from a far view. You'll love it.
You get points
- when you complete a layer. You get more points per layer if you complete multiple layers simultaneously.
- when you drop a piece from height. The sooner you drop a piece, the more points you get. - when a piece settles into the grid.
- if you clear the whole grid at any point in the game, you get 1000 bonus points. You must play the game intelligently in order to retain options of fitting different kinds of pieces into the grid.
You have to be quick in your planning. Drop pieces as fast as you can. Moreover, you have to keep control over your nerves.
If you get nervous, you might drop a piece on top of a hole which may doom your game. The challenge is to reach level 10 and score as much points as possible.
Because at level 10, you will hardly get a chance to rotate the pieces. You have to be very very quick in planning (As quick as Mr. Flash).
